Description
The Twin Rail Curved offers a choice of options compatible for a curved staircase: With a choice of two seat types, each with numerous options, the lift can be customised to suit the needs of most users with ease. The Handicare Twin Rail Curved is suitable for most curved staircases.
The Twin Rail Curved features the following as standard:
Manual Swivel Seat
The seat can be swivelled via a handle beneath the seat in order to mount or dismount the stairlift safely. (Powered Option Available)
Manual Footplate
The footplate is lifted or lowered by hand by the user. (Powered Option Available)
Multiple Charge Points
The batteries can be charged from either of 2 charge points, built into the track, these are usually fitted at either end of the track, so the lift can charge whilst not in use.
Key Switch
The stairlift can only be used once activated via a key, this means that the lift can be deactivated for security or to prevent unsupervised use.
Safety Sensors
Fitted to both the footplate and powerpack, these sensors will stop the lift in the case of obstruction or obstacle, and allow the user to return, away from the obstruction.
Retractable Seat Belt
For additional safety and peace of mind, this retractable lap belt will secure the user in place on the lift.
Coloured Track
In order to better blend in with your choice of décor, we can supply this lift with a choice of track colours (Light Grey, Brown or Gun Metal)

Powered Swivel Seat
The seat can be swivelled via controller, once the lift has stopped, improving ease of use in order to mount or dismount the stairlift safely. (Available only with Style or Smart seats).
Powered Footplate:
This footplate can be operated via controls on either the arm or seat, so that the user does not have to operate the mechanism themselves. (Available only with Simplicity or Smart seats).
Powered Hinged Track:
a specially adapted track allowing the ends to fold out of the way, when not in use, removing any obstructions to doorways. With a powered
Velcro Seat Belt
For additional safety and peace of mind, this easy-to-use velcroable lap belt will secure the user in place on the lift.
Perch Seat
This specialist seat allows the user to be transported in a semi-standing position, making it ideal for users with chronic hip or knee problems, which may make sitting painful. (Available only with the or Smart seat).
Heavy Duty Upgrade
This modification introduces a wider seat and utilises more durable components to increase the weight limit significantly. (Upto 21.5 Stone)
The Twin Rail Curved is available with Handicare’s fully upholstered “Style Seat”, covered with a comfortable yet stylish leather-look fabric, in a choice of 2 colours; (Vanilla Beige, or White Ivory), or with a material finish in 1 colour (Cherry Red).
Alternatively, we can also supply Handicare’s durable “Simplicity Seat” covered with a wipeable, flame retardant fabric, in a neutral sand colour to blend into most decours. This seat is ideal for users not needing powered swivel options.
Finally is Handicare’s fully upholstered “Smart Seat”, covered with a wipeable, flame retardant fabric, in a choice of 6 colours; (Sand, Slate, Cocoa, Jade, Sapphire or Ruby).

From there we will arrange for one of our dedicated engineers to perform a free-of-charge, no obligation Stairlift Survey, measuring your Staircase and discussing suitable options with you. We do not employ salespeople, only engineers and they do not work on commission, so we can offer the best possible advice to suit your needs. We will then be able to provide you with a written quote for the discussed options.
From their, if you choose to go ahead with the lift, we will then take a deposit, and arrange an installation as soon as possible (this can be within a few days for in-stock straight stairlifts to a few weeks for bespoke curved lifts).
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed for 12 months, parts & labour from date of purchase. It is covered for any defects or faults within the defined period.
Unfortunately guarantees do not cover accidental damage, product misuse or any callouts resulting from an electrical item being switched off.
Making a Claim
In order to make a claim against your guarantee, for online customers we would recommend they contact us via our usual methods, to discuss the fault and arrange any repairs or replacements.
For In-Store customers, we would advise you to either contact us as above, or to call into one of our showrooms (with the item if possible), the item will then be repaired free-of-charge in our workshop. However if you would like the repair carried out at your home or for it to be collected by DSL, then additional fees will apply, parts and labour will still be free-of-charge.
For larger, non-portable items, are exempt from this charge, and we are able to repair them under guarantee on-site.
Exempted products include; R&R Chairs, Stairlifts, Beds, Hoists and larger Mobility Scooters or Powerchairs.
Repairs
Even outside the guarantee period, we would be happy to repair your mobility item (no-matter, where you originally bought it). These repairs can be carried out in our workshop or at your home (at an additional charge). Please contact us for more information.
Servicing
If you would like an item serviced by our workshop team; this can easily be arranged in-store or via our regular contact methods. Should we discover any faults that will require additional parts or labour charges, will always contact you first, before to discuss possible options.
This product is eligible for one of our coverplan options once it’s guarantee expires.

This product is exempt from VAT if you are chronically sick or disabled, under the VAT act of 1994.
DSL Mobility will take care of all VAT elements, you do not have to reclaim the VAT. You only pay the price excluding VAT, providing you sign the exemption box at the checkout.
